Hopi Overlay Rings
In the beginning of World War 2, the Hopi people from Northeastern Arizona developed a unique style in silver smithing, which resulted in these beautiful American Indian Hopi rings.
They began using a sterling silver overlay technique in which they create a cast for the ring then solder on a second layer of silver, which has the traditional Hopi designs. Because of the two layers, and the oxidation technique they use, the jewelry has a unique depth and sheen. Darren Seweyestewa, Pat Tewaina, and Steve Pooyouma incorporate the Hopi symbols of kokopelli, water, waves, and clouds. These unisex rings are perfect for everyday wear and are guaranteed to help you stand out in a crowd.
