Pendleton Chimayo Throw - Garnet

Lots of green in this throw, much more so than garnet. It does not look as deep and rich in person as it does on my monitor. That being said it is a beautiful throw. I think, but am not one hundred percent certain, that this is a brighter version of the Pendleton Old Hickory line. There is very little garnet in the throw but lots of maraschino cherry red. Colors in no particular order are light and medium turquoise, maraschino cherry red, garnet, light gray, pale old gold, a little burnt orange, medium teal green and navy blue. Over all the throw comes off as a medium color scheme, not light or dark. Looks wonderful on our antique black leather sofa, we get tons of compliments. The pictures on Pendletons website are more accurate as to what the throw actually looks like. The colors remind me of candy. It is on the thinner side which makes it great for draping on a chair back or the arm of a sofa. It is also relatively warm even if it isn't substantial. This is a nice year round throw. The weave and finish makes me think it may pill easily, at least compared to some of Pendletons other products. I will update this review after we use it for awhile. The texture is soft for wool and I don't find it scratchy all. I also purchased this throw in the Adobe color. It is a bit darker and more muted than this one. I like them both and can't decide which I would choose if I could only have one. This one would be the hands down winner if it was a bit darker.
